TIMELINE
3 months (with ongoing design support)

Context

Love Fountain Herbals is a herbal tincture brand founded in Berlin, selling both online and at local markets. The founder came to me with a clear vision: to bring plant medicine to the modern world through an identity that feels intuitive, grounded, and energetically aligned. I helped her bring this vision to life through a complete brand identity, logo suite, and flexible packaging system that could scale with her needs.

Problem

Love Fountain Herbals was starting from scratch with no existing visual assets or strategy. The brand needed to:

  • Establish a distinct and memorable identity that reflected the founder’s values

  • Appeal to both a wellness-savvy online audience and conscious shoppers at Berlin markets

  • Ensure packaging was clear, modular, and scalable for future products

  • Provide all essential files for consistent use across web, print, and product

Goals

  • Create a spiritual-but-strong identity that reflects both nature and trust

  • Design a logo suite for packaging, web, and social media

  • Develop reusable templates for tincture bottles, labels, and future product packaging

  • Build a complete visual toolkit (colors, fonts, layout system) for future growth

Discovery & Moodboarding

We began with a Zoom consultation to talk through the vision, values, and visual inspirations. The client brought reference imagery that included celestial graphics, hand-drawn textures, and vintage-inspired typography. This helped set the tone for a brand that blends ancient wisdom with modern warmth.

Logo Development

I explored several sketch-based concepts that referenced botanical symbolism and lunar cycles. We refined two final logo versions: one designed for bold web use, and another adapted for label printing. Final assets included black, white, and transparent versions, as well as scalable vector files.

Multiple stylized logo designs with fountain and arch elements, reading "Love Fountain Herbals" and "Herbals," in shades of pink and red.

A digital design titled "Lust Didone Display" featuring pastel-colored blocks, a stylized drawing of a fountain, and an arched brown line on a soft gradient background.

Brand Identity Toolkits

Once the logo direction was approved, I expanded the identity into a full system, developing typography, color palette, and layout rules that could work across both digital and physical formats. The visual language balances mystical elements with clarity and professionalism.

Packaging & Labels

We collaborated to create a range of label designs for her herbal tinctures, formatted for print and designed to scale across multiple bottle sizes. I ensured that the designs remained legible and distinct whether viewed on a website, at a market table, or on a crowded shelf.

Final Deliverables

The final handoff included everything the client would need to launch and grow independently:

  • A master folder of web, print, and vector logo files

  • Label templates for future tinctures

  • A visual reference guide with brand elements and usage tips

  • All files delivered in organized, designer-friendly formats

Outcomes

  • A visual identity that instantly communicates the brand’s values and personality

  • A flexible logo suite and packaging system ready for launch

  • A strong foundation for future collaborations with other designers or makers

Reflection

This project reminded me how much power thoughtful visuals hold in elevating small businesses. Working directly with the founder meant every design decision could feel meaningful and intuitive. I also gained deeper appreciation for designing not just for aesthetics, but for real-world use: printer specs, shelf clarity, and tactile experience. Next time, I’d love to expand this kind of work into a full e-commerce brand system and website.
